Blitpaint has been changing and evolving into a great tool for C64 pixel art. It is still a little unclear to why you might choose this over any other pixel or painting application, but, I now use it for my C64 art as it's pretty neat for grabbing patterns and brushes. It could be a bit easier to use and a better UI but I think right now, you can use it and getting used to it wouldnt take long. Each video may be from an older version but things have improved overall since those and you can get even better results with some time.

I also look for those who actually use this to make art, not just asking for feature requests, you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours. I've spent about 2 months on Blitpaint now and hope to see something that keeps me inspired to continue with it!
